Chuck Berry left us, at age 90

Another year quarter, another music icon left us.

7 hours ago the news broke out to the open of the web: the rock ‘n roll icon at age 90 passed away yesterday. The list of Berry’s classics is as well-known as his distinctive, chiming “Chuck Berry riff”: “Maybellene.” “Around and Around.” “Brown-Eyed Handsome Man.” “School Days.” “Memphis.” “Nadine.” “No Particular Place to Go.”

While no individual can be said to have invented rock and roll, Chuck Berry comes the closest of any single figure to being the one who put all the essential pieces together. It was his particular genius to graft country & western guitar licks onto a rhythm & blues chassis in his very first single, “Maybellene”.

Chuck Berry also on:  Google Play Music and on Spotify as well, with nearing the two million followers for his artist profile.

He lived a long, productive life (with the necessary amount of troubles and controversy), going from jail time in his youth (end of 40’s) up to the Hall of Fame, becoming not just a star, but a legend while still alive and well.
